Father's Day 2017

With Father's Day coming up (June 18th) I wanted to share an article on gift ideas for dads (and other men in your lives). These are just a few, but there are endless possibilities what to get. My #1 rule when it comes to gifts is to get what people need/want most. That might not be the most creative or surprising approach, but I never fail. It's way better than getting skydiving for someone who's afraid of heights and hoping he/she will overcome the fair. So let's get to my list.

SHAVING KIT: I love this old school set of shaving soap* (link) and shaving brush*(link) from Jack Dean. It's not something you see everyday nowadays, but this is such a cool and practical gift.

Another innovative approach to shaving is single use shaving cream pouches from Pacific Shaving Co (link). These are excellent when traveling and can be use in a few different ways (by lathering in a bowl and applying with a shaving brush or by lathering in a hand and applying to the face right away).

BODY WASH/SOAP: Another practical gift is Jack Dean Body Scrub Bar* (link). Most men don't care much about body scrubs, so this is a great way to give your dad a multitasking product that not only cleanses, but exfoliates and massages a body. You can also give a regular soap bar or body wash if that's something that is preferred.

SHAMPOO: Next gift I decided to feature is Jack Dean Thickening Shampoo* (link). Most men are not picky about shower products, but I think it's always nice to give something a little more personalized (to fulfill certain needs or just a product formulated for men). Though you can always choose to give any hair product (shampoo, conditioner, mask, hair gel, etc.) that your dad (friend, boyfriend, brother, etc.) uses.

SPORTING GOODS/APPAREL: Another great option is to upgrade/renew sporting equipment or maybe to get something new and to start playing a sport together. Maybe your dad's football is leaking air or maybe he could use new batting gloves. New sports outfit or sneakers is also a good idea.

MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTION: Not everyone is into books, but many people like magazines, and getting your dad a magazine subscription is a nice gift option. There are plenty of categories to choose from, so there's something for everyone (sports, science, hobbies, computers, lifestyle, etc.).

BOOKS: If your dad is into reading, then a book always works. Like with magazines, you can't go wrong picking one from a subject your dad likes. If you really don't know which book to get, there's always an option to get a bookstore giftcard instead.
